Owner

After working for 15 years with other Des Moines insurance agencies, Janis saw an opportunity in March 2010, to work only in the health insurance industry. Janis takes pride in educating clients and working with them on their health insurance needs. No matter if its individual, Medicare, or small group insurance, Janis has the knowledge and experience to make the most informed decisions.

Betheny Wilson 

Sales Associate

Betheny joined the Health Insurance Advisor team in September of 2019. After two years of working closely with Janis to learn the process of Medicare, Beth is now working with Medicare clients to assist in understanding Medicare and how plan options meet with needs.

Nicki joined Health Insurance Advisor in August of 2022 after almost 10 years in retail management. Her prior experience helps her understand the importance of good customer service. Nicki's drive and determination to learn new things, makes her invaluable to Betheny and her clients in the Medicare market.

Group Account Administrator

Meghan appreciates the challenges that entrepreneurs face, and the demands on their time.  She has helped her self-employed husband run his flooring installation business for 19 years and has experienced many of these challenges firsthand.  Her goal is to make the process of health insurance easy to understand and manage so that business owners can quickly get back to more important things like spending time with their families and growing their business.

Kit has nearly 10 years of experience managing a professional office. Her work and experience help maintain a friendly and efficient office environment.  Kit also excels in coordinating  our larger projects and looks forward to continuing to learn even more about the insurance market.

Receptionist / Office Coordinator 

Olivia Joined Health Insurance Advisor after 6 years of work in a public library. Her past experience taught her the importance of good customer service and how to be exceptionally organized. 

Her goal is to keep everything in the office running as smoothly as possible and to ensure every client is greeted with a friendly smile.
